Dr. Heino Fock has written an article on global stressors on small-scale inshore fisheries.
“The United Nations has declared 2022 the ‘International Year of Artisanal Fisheries and Aquaculture’ (IYAFA). This is a central milestone in the UN strategy to achieve the global sustainability goals. Due to the effects of climate change, a global decline in catches of up to 40 percent is forecast (Lam et al.,2020). The consequences of this climate change will be particularly serious for small-scale coastal fisheries.”
