We will study the physical drivers of the ecosystems of the South and Tropical Atlantic. Different physical processes, which dominate the climate and environmental impact on the ecosystem in the different regions, will be studied based on moored, shipboard, float/glider, and satellite observations including circulation, mixing, upwelling, mesoscale eddies, and flow and topography interaction.
